The Asia-Pacific galvanized steel market is projected to grow from $82.5 billion in 2024 to $128.8 billion by 2030, registering a compound annual growth rate of 7.7%, according to Ken Research.Regional market volume is expected to increase from 148 million tonnes to 207 million tonnes during the same period. Building and construction will remain the largest demand segment, supported by continued use of galvanized steel in roofing, cladding, fencing, structural components and weather-resistant applications.
Infrastructure and energy are forecast to become the fastest-growing end-use segment as solar projects, wind farms, power grids and transmission systems increase demand for corrosion-resistant coated steel. Automotive manufacturing and appliance production are also expected to support demand for premium galvanized steel grades with improved surface quality and coating consistency.
China is expected to retain its position as the region’s largest market, while India is projected to record the fastest growth among major Asia-Pacific economies, with an estimated CAGR of 8.8%.Low-carbon steel production, emissions reporting and advanced coating technologies are likely to become increasingly important as manufacturers target export markets and higher-value customers.
