Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat is supplying thousands of metric tons of prestressed concrete steel strands, commonly known as PC strands, for major infrastructure projects across Vietnam.
The company’s products are being used in key bridge projects over the Red River in Hanoi, including Vân Phúc, Hồng Hà, Thượng Cát, Mễ Sở, Ngọc Hồi and Hoài Thượng bridges. Hoa Phat is also supplying PC strands for the Nguyễn Chí Thanh–Láng overpass, Hanoi Ring Road 4 and several infrastructure projects in Phú Quốc.
According to the company, its PC strands are produced using Italian technology through a fully integrated process from steel billet to finished product. This helps ensure stable supply, consistent quality and compliance with strict technical standards.With Vietnam accelerating transport infrastructure development, Hoa Phat’s domestic PC strand supply is expected to support project timelines while reducing reliance on imported steel products.
