Bansal Wire Industries is targeting a sharper recovery in FY27, supported by specialty products, improved capacity utilisation and an ambitious 20% volume growth goal. The steel wire manufacturer reported a mixed first quarter. Revenue rose 24% year-on-year to ₹1,168 crore, but EBITDA declined 22% to ₹56.4 crore and net profit fell 48% to ₹20.5 crore. Management linked the pressure to a temporary gas supply disruption, adding that operations and margins had normalised by the quarter’s end.
Growth is expected to come from specialty wires, steel cord import substitution, IHT and OHT products, new launches and a larger B2C presence. The consumer business already contributes around 10% of sales, while installed production capacity stands at 680,000 tonnes.
Bansal Wire plans annual capital expenditure of ₹200–250 crore to expand specialty capacity and strengthen its branded retail business. Management expects capacity utilisation to exceed 85%, with EBITDA per kilogram normalising at ₹7–8. Specialty products could generate higher margins of ₹10–20 per kilogram. The FY27 outlook remains promising, but execution, demand recovery and margin improvement will determine whether the company achieves its growth targets.
