Domestic prices for steel products used in Ukraine’s construction industry have continued to rise in 2026, reflecting stronger demand, higher consumption and ongoing pressure across the supply chain. Since the beginning of the year, key construction steel products have increased by around 5–20%, creating additional cost challenges for builders, contractors and metal fabricators.
The sharpest price growth has been seen in pipe products, while hot-rolled sheets, rebar and other rolled steel materials have also recorded steady increases. This trend comes as Ukraine’s steel consumption shows signs of recovery, supported by active construction work, infrastructure needs and industrial demand.
For the construction sector, rising steel prices may affect project budgets, procurement planning and overall building costs. Companies relying on steel-intensive materials will need to monitor market movements closely, as continued demand growth could keep prices under pressure in the coming months. The latest price changes highlight the importance of flexible sourcing strategies and careful cost management in Ukraine’s construction materials market.
