JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production of 24.65 lakh tonnes in August 2026, marking a 3% year-on-year increase from 23.83 lakh tonnes in August 2025. The company’s Indian operations recorded capacity utilisation of 88% during the month. Production from JSW Steel’s Indian operations reached 23.87 lakh tonnes, up 4% from 22.95 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, JSW Steel USA’s Ohio operations produced 0.78 lakh tonnes, down 11% compared with 0.88 lakh tonnes a year earlier. The latest numbers highlight steady growth in JSW Steel’s domestic steel production despite mixed performance across international operations. Strong Indian output remains a key contributor to the company’s overall production momentum as demand from infrastructure, construction, automotive and manufacturing sectors continues to support India’s steel market. The comparison also reflects adjustments related to the transfer of Bhushan Power and Steel’s steel business undertaking to JSW-JFE Steel in March 2026.
