Danieli Automation to Deploy Advanced MES at Ezz Flat Steel Plant

Danieli Automation has been selected to supply an advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for Ezz Flat Steel’s integrated steel plant in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, strengthening Ezz Steel’s ongoing digital transformation programme. The web-based Q3-Manufacturing platform will create a unified digital environment for production management, operational planning, quality control, material tracking and advanced analytics. The system will connect major production facilities, including two meltshops, a Quality Strip Production thin-slab caster and hot-strip mill, a billet caster, two bar and wire-rod mills and a hot skin-pass mill. The MES solution will support order management, detailed production scheduling, real-time shopfloor coordination and raw material and finished-product yard management. It will also introduce inline and predictive quality control, helping production teams monitor performance and identify potential issues using real-time manufacturing data. By integrating production, quality and operational information on a single platform, Ezz Steel aims to improve plant visibility, resource utilisation and coordination across its manufacturing processes. The project also expands the long-standing collaboration between Danieli and Ezz Steel, bringing greater digitalisation and data-driven decision-making to the Ain Sokhna steel facility.
