The Chhattisgarh government, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has chosen to bring back an aluminum park project that was first put forth in 2021 to support small-scale companies in Korba, which is approximately 250 kilometers away from here. The agreement was made between the Chhattisgarh government and Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd (BALCO), a Vedanta Limited subsidiary, for the subsidised supply of raw aluminium to small-scale industries.
