These Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms of Use”) govern the use of the website, content, and community services offered through https://steelbazaar.in/, on any mobile or internet-connected device. These Terms of Use also include any guidelines, additional or supplemental terms, policies and disclaimers issued by us from time to time (“Supplemental Terms”). In case of any conflict between these Terms and Supplemental Terms, the Supplemental Terms shall prevail.
By accessing or using this Site, and/or availing the Services as defined hereunder, You agree to be bound by these Terms along with any other agreement or policy or rule, applicable as on date, or as may be adopted by Us from time to time.

If any of the information outlined below falls under Personal Information, You agree that SteelBazaar may collect, use, share, process, and disclose such Personal Information for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy.

1.5 Information that is not unique to You, such as postal code, IP location, URL, and occupation, may be collected for demographic purposes ("Demographic Information").

1.6 For Services usage and Product purchases, You may need to make payments through credit cards, electronic transfers, debit cards, or other applicable payment modes via SteelBazaar's third-party payment gateway provider. To avail financing options, additional financial information may be required. Third-party payment gateway providers and financiers may collect Financial Information for billing, payment processes, and evaluating financing options.

1.7 Information on how You use the Platform, including visited areas, computer hardware and software details, IP address, browser and operating system type, IMEI number, MAC address, domain names, access times, locations, and browsing history, is collected as "Behavioural Information."

1.9 Details regarding Your transactions on the Platform, purchase history, passwords, financial information, and any other items classified as "sensitive personal data or information" under the SPDI Rules constitute "User Information."

1.10 SteelBazaar may retain records of telephone calls for administration, research and development, training, business intelligence, business development, or User administration purposes. Telephone records may be shared with third parties when required by law or to provide or facilitate Services.

1.11 Contests and surveys may be conducted to gather information about User preferences. Participation is optional, and responses are kept anonymous.

1.12 SteelBazaar has implemented security measures, including firewalls and transport layer security, to protect Financial and Personal Information from unauthorized access or disclosure. SteelBazaar is not liable for security breaches beyond its reasonable control.

1.13 In case of a merger or acquisition, SteelBazaar may transfer Personal Information to the acquiring party, ensuring reasonable measures for protection.

1.14 Personal and other information may be disclosed or transferred to third parties during reorganization, sale of assets, division, or transfer of the company.

1.15 Disclosure of Personal or Financial Information to governmental institutions may occur when required by law or judicial decree.

Users are responsible for exercising caution when sharing Information. SteelBazaar disclaims liability for Services content and actions resulting from User participation. Users agree to waive any claims against SteelBazaar and release any claims relating to the same.

2.1 SteelBazaar may utilize Your Information for the following purposes:

(i) To identify the User, understand their needs, and resolve disputes, if any;

(ii) To establish, manage, and provide Products, enhancing services to meet User requirements;

(iii) To deliver ongoing service;

(iv) To comply with legal and regulatory requirements;

(v) To address technical issues and troubleshoot problems;

(vi) To assist SteelBazaar in collecting payments from Users for transactions conducted on the Platform;

(vii) To facilitate financing for the purchase of Products;

(viii) To keep Users informed about SteelBazaar’s (or third parties’) promotions and offers;

(ix) To personalize User experiences;

(x) To advertise Products and increase their sales;

(xi) To detect and protect SteelBazaar from errors, fraud, and other criminal activities;

(xii) To enforce the Terms of Use; and

(xiii) Other reasons, communicated to Users through an update to this Privacy Policy before implementation (collectively, the “Purposes”).

2.2 Additionally, We use Demographic Information, Behavioural, and Indirect Information of Users collectively, such as the most frequently visited areas and accessed Services. This data is used anonymously and in the aggregate to determine what is most beneficial for Users.

2.3 Financial Information collected from Users is processed through secure digital platforms of approved payment gateways/financiers with encryption, complying with reasonably expected technology standards. While SteelBazaar endeavors to ensure the protection of User’s Personal and Financial Information through security measures prescribed by applicable laws, Users are strongly advised to exercise discretion when providing such information, given the susceptibility of the Internet to security breaches.

3.1 SteelBazaar discloses Your Information to third parties in the following manner, including but not limited to:

(i) Sellers listed on the Platform, related service providers, and logistics partners for servicing, delivering, and providing credit periods for orders placed by You on the Platform;

(ii) Potential financiers for availing financing for Your purchases on the Platform;

(iii) Disclosure of Your Information to companies, agencies, individuals, and other third parties authorized by Us to perform functions on our behalf. Information or User Information may be transferred to third parties (in India or outside India), such as sellers, affiliates, agents, contractors, and third-party service providers processing Your information or User Information on our behalf, including but not limited to those providing administrative or other services like mailing houses, telecommunication companies, information technology companies, and data centers, to enhance the Platform;

3.2 Subject to applicable law, SteelBazaar may, at its sole discretion, transfer Information to any other body corporate (as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000) ensuring at least the same level of data protection as provided by SteelBazaar under the terms herein, whether located in India or any other country. By using the Platform, You accept these terms and hereby consent to the storage and processing of information in any of the above locations.

Changes to Your Information

4.1 You have the option to review, correct, update, change, or delete Your Account Information or User Information on the SteelBazaar Platform. You can delete specific parts of the Account Information or User Information or request deletion of the entire Account Information or User Information, unless retention is required for legal purposes.

4.2 SteelBazaar reserves the right to verify and authenticate Your identity and Your Account Information to ensure accurate delivery of Services. Access to, correction, updating, or deletion of Your Account Information may be denied or limited by SteelBazaar if it would violate another person’s rights and/or is not otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Users express interest and consent to receive communications, including commercial ones, related to SteelBazaar's services. Users authorize SteelBazaar to share/disclose information with third-party service providers, affiliates, group companies, authorized agents, or third-party service providers.
