Welspun Shield Extra Ductile Fe 550 TMT bars are thermo-mechanically treated reinforcement bars engineered to deliver high strength with extra ductility for modern RCC design. The 10 mm diameter section offers excellent bond with concrete and optimised bar weight, making it suitable for both primary and secondary reinforcement in residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.Produced from quality billets in fully automated mills, the bars feature a tough outer martensitic layer and a softer, ductile core, providing superior energy absorption during dynamic and seismic loading. Controlled chemistry and process parameters ensure good weldability, corrosion resistance and consistent mechanical properties along the entire length of each bar.
