HR Plate (Defective) scrap consists of plates and occasional slabs with pronounced rolling or surface defects, supplied as mixed-grade heavy scrap ideal for cutting and melting where form is not critical.

Key Features – HR Plate (Defective)

• Plates may show bend, waviness, cracks, buckling, lamination, seams or combinations of defects.
• Thickness and width vary across the lot; dimensions and major defects are indicated in general terms.
• Defective plate lots can also include slabs not suitable for further rolling and clearly marked as such.
• Contain a mix of assorted grades, typically thicker than 7 mm with widths about 800–1550 mm and lengths above 1500 mm.
• Supplied bare, stacked for easy selection and cutting.

Applications – HR Plate (Defective)

• Areas where pieces will be re-cut, straightened or re-rolled before use.
